MeMedia's challenge was to implement major improvements to both the front-end usability of the jumbopets.com shopping experience, but also the administration and logistics of the site. Usability Improvements

Landing on the jumbopets.com homepage, a user could be looking for any number of products mostly based on what pet they have (i.e. dog, cat, bird, fish etc). Main menu navigation and on-page navigation enable duplicate ways for the shopper to navigate without the use of forms.

This should be a no-brainer right? Absolutely. An easy-to-use, predictive text and a product search bar placed in prime visible real estate increases the speed at which shoppers can find products they are familiar with.

Brand searches are one of the most popular ways for repeat product purchasers to navigate the web. Customers also identify well with the visual form of a logo versus just the name. Displaying each of the brand logos therefore became paramount.
